Doug West

Hi!  I'm Doug West, a New Jersey based Theatre Artist, Educator, and Audiobook Narrator with a passion for Classical Theatre, Artist Training, and a mild obsession with my cats.  I'm conveniently located in Central New Jersey (yes, it really exists) with easy access to both NYC and Philadelphia.  I have an undergraduate degree from Montclair State University, and an MFA from The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.  In my other life I'm the Director of Education for  The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, where I've been a company member for more than 20 years. I have also been a proud member of Actor's Equity since 2004.

I realized the other day that I've acted, directed, taught, or fought through most of Shakespeare's canon.  I'm only missing Henry VIII, Antony and Cleopatra, and All's Well.  So if you're working on any of those and need a Director, Actor, Teaching Artist, or Fight Director hit me up!
